About
Sleepaway summer camp in Strafford, New Hampshire, built around a single large-scale making-and-building project selected each year through an international design competition.
Within that central project, campers also pursue small-group work across domains like weaving, robotics, screenprinting, and experimental music, develop independent pieces in a woodshop, metal shop, art barn, and fabrication lab, and take part in daily swimming and active play. The camp runs on a device-free schedule and operates on a tiered tuition model based on household income. Admission is by application, and the program has provided scholarships to roughly 40 percent of all participants since founding in 2004.
