About
Specialty summer day camp fusing chess instruction with Dungeons and Dragons roleplay, miniature painting, and terrain crafting.
Campers are grouped by age and chess level and rotate through chess lessons covering tactics, strategy, and endgame theory alongside D&D sessions led by a dedicated Dungeon Master. Gym time with dodgeball and kickball rounds out the week, and Fridays feature a pizza lunch, a Team Quest Tournament of physical and creative challenges, a bughouse chess tournament, and an awards ceremony. The camp runs at a 7:1 student-to-teacher ratio, with water and snacks provided and campers bringing their own lunch. Aftercare includes board games, character sheet work, arts and crafts, and structured enrichment such as comic book making and Dungeon Master training.
